Differential lockers do essentially what their name implies, they "lock" your differential to prevent one wheel from slipping (thus giving you better traction in tough terrain). There are several types of Jeep lockers available from a variety of manufacturers. Some lockers engage/disengage automatically, while others are operated by cables (Ox Locker), air pressure (ARB Lockers), or an electric switch (Eaton E-Locker).
