Worst customer service

I only had my Rubicon Express 3.5" super flex lift in my jeep for about 2 months before I found the control arm rubber bushes completely worn out. The RE people did say there was a faulty batch of bushes and to go through the retalier. I fear that I will never see these bushes (been 5 weeks so far) as RE have by far the worst customer service with regards this warranty issue I have ever experienced. I think my next move might be to get a lawyer involved unfortunantly. My advise if you are looking for Jeep parts is to check out what that company is like with dealing with warranty issues. Hopefully I can get back on the road before winter here in Canada.

Not impressed | |

I have had this kit on my JK about a year now and I am taking it off. I have broken 5 shocks on the right rear and after the 5th one(never had a good reason before that) they finally came up with a track bar adjustment that created another problem. They need to have a new track bar for the rear. The kit has worked pretty well other than the fact that I have broken something on it almost every time I have gone out (even in mild conditions). I use my jeep for off road only and have been frustrated with this kit and with the response from the people at Rubicon Express. I don't think I would buy their products again.

Nice Lift! | |

Very nice lift kit. The RE monotube shocks seem a bit stiff but overall a great ride. The Gen II discos work great. Forget about lowering the transfer case and just get an SYE and driveshaft. I got at least 4" of lift with the 3.5" springs. I got the pinion angle cam bolts instead of the adjustable upper control arms and have had no probems.

driveline vibrations | |

the kit from RE is excellent but after installing it, i backed out of the shop only to have my rear driveline bind up at the front u-joint. i then dropped the t-case 1 inch, and shim the rear leaf packs 6 degrees. i still have some vibrations, but no binding. so it's time to get a sye kit and new driveshaft ($500.00). so be prepared.

After the install, lets talk about OFFROAD. This kit works great, but after our first trip out we bent our transfer case output shaft. RE recomends the slip yolk eliminator and cv drive shaft. If you plan to do some hard wheeling, put the kit in first, I would not pay the cash if this is going to be used as a pavement lift kit, stock driveshaft is just fine.

we started at 2pm and ended by 7pm. didn't use the instructions that much. the kit was easy to install and went on great. the only thing that i don't like and plan on replacing is the sway bar disconects.

Great lift, but..... | |

This lift is great, and I would buy RE again. However, I think that the 3.5" kit is just not complete. If I were to do it again, I would spend the extra cash and get the 4.5" Superflex kit with 3.5" springs. Much more complete, and cheaper in the long run.

Great product | |

ALthough the instructions were much to be desired the overall lift kit was well designed. I completed the whole install with garage tools and working at least 1-2 hours a day finished it up in a week.(myself only installing) Although the arms pop and make noise they have never failed me. Springs are just a little higher than what is stated by RE. My actuall springs gave me about 4-4.25" of total lift. My suggestion would be get the RE 4.5 SF with 3.5 springs if you want to stay that height. Reason being is you'll get both upper and lower arms.

Bashed my knuckles a few times installing this lift. Had to change a few things. The instructions say to drill a hole 3/4 of an inch toward the drivers side for the stock front track bar or get an adjustable. Since I didn't want to put any extra holes, I went and got the adjustable from Rubicon Express. Other than that everything went on with out a problem.

Before I knew anything about lifts and control arms, I had gotten this lift. I LOVE this lift, however, I would have gotten the standard lift and bought adjustable lower control arms (only difference between this and the standard is the control arms I believe) to help with alignment and vibe issues. The spring height is excellent and I've rarely heard anything bad about RE lifts.
