I am a young wheeler but have been doing this for a long time. This is my first set of offroad tires which is perfect for my mud bog phase, i run 33x13.5 on my tj and they out perform my dads 35 yoko geolanders everywhere. I run them at 6psi on beadlocks and love it. Loud on the road but it hides the other weird noises the jeep makes. Never been stuck in mud woth these ties, rarely have to back down from a rock obstacle. Very impressed with these tires.

I have the 47-17-16.5 ltb they are the are prebalanced from the factory they have a weigh patch attached to the inside of the side wall so all you need to do is balance the wheel and mount them [no equal]. I did have 44 boggers and they beat the ball joints out of my truck when I need new tires again they are what I will buy again

I've been running LTB's for abot a year (only about 10,000 MI) now. I love them off road, but like a lot of you guys I have to drive to my wheelin' spots and they do wear out FAST. I have a pretty rough CJ-5 that gets neglected and has never seen an allignment so that's gotta be the issue. But as far as off road performance, these tires kick A$$ first tire I've ever owned that snapped more than one axle. If you like traction and not getting stuck GET 'EM!

I'm running these LTB's 33x13.5x15 on my 92 xj with 8.5" of lift. I aired down to 5lbs when Wheelin" at Carnage Canyon in Boulder Co. I rate this trail a 8.5-9 maybe a 10 on some area and they grip like its nothing. My buddies that i go wheeling with have lockers front and rear and still they had a rough time going over what i have gone over with open diff. and they are running Procomp, BFG and MTR ..and they suck..believe me those tires do not grip for sh*t!!! stick with the best...super swamper LTB, Iroks, and TSL

I have to agree with most of the reviews here. I love my 33x13.50 LTB's. They are quite possibly the best non-directional off-road tires available. Period. They are even comparable or better than most of the directional tires I've seen used. I run them on a '94 YJ Wrangler, lockers at both ends, and I love them. They howl like banchees, ride rough, and wear fast on the street, but who cares. If you are considering this tire you shouldn't be looking for a tire to work well on the street. Bye the way, while they work great in the deep snow, they are downright dangerous on snow covered pavement/asphalt.(Not enough edges) The only reason I give them 9 stars, not 10, is the balancing problem, because I do run on the street on the way to my wheeling destinations. I have 5 of them and 2 had over 27 ounces of weight on the rim and they still shook like crazy. I took the weight off and installed "Equal", the granular balancing agent used in semi tires. I had use 24 ounces of it to finally get the 2 bad ones balanced. Now, no more problems. |

Just put a set of 34 x 10.5 x 15's on Rock Crawler 7 x 15 x 4.5 BS steel wheels on my 05 Rubicon with a 2" suspension lift. This weekend I'll test for clearance (body rubbage) over large rocks before I head out for 3 days of hard core jeepin in New England. I know these are not meant to be street tires, but good Lord do these things shake! When you spin them by hand you can see that they all have at least one area that is really out of round. I've owned Swampers of various designs and sizes for 15 years and never had a set behave so poorly on the street. Am I just too fussy? |

These tires are killer in mud or sand here in Florida, the only downfall I've had is a balancing problem, I didn't exspect a good ride but they have to have alot of weight placed on them to get close to balanced..

I bought a set of 34 10.50 15 LTB's for a durango I had. They were amazing in the snow, I'd have no trouble cutting my way down through 30" of fresh snow. They even rode ok when they were brand new. But my durango met with an horrible end now I'm running them on my 2000 TJ. I've got about 25k on them and are just at the half tread point. But I think between the light weight of my TJ and the wear of the tires they shake like crazy. As with most solid block tread tires they weren't too hot for the on road snow and ice, but i siped them DEEPLY and that made them night and day better. I was worried about the tread chipping away more after the sipping but as of yet(about 5k miles) no signs. So anyway, great off road tire, but wouldn't want to have them on anything you drive for comfort.

These are great tires for off road use. The rubber compund is supper soft and grips great on the trail but they dont last long at all on the street. A great tire if you know what to use it for. |

swamper ltb:great tire for a great price

I recently purchased a set of 33-13.50 ltb's for my 1981 cj 5. I did alot of comparing a wasn't sure what tire to get. All of my buddy's are running a variaty of swampers so I went with the ltb's to see how they compared. I am very impressed with the performance of this tire. The baddest jeep in our group has boggers, but I can now hang right there with him! This is a great all-around tire that performes in all terrain (mud, sand, and dirt anyway). They are pretty loud on the highway, but who wants quite swamper's? Another great thing about this tire is it's price. It is considerably cheaper than other swamper's. Boggers are the very best for mud, but this tire is a close second in my opinion and a much better all-around tire.

Great off road tire. I've ran with these tires for over a year now and I've never been stuck if I didn't wanna be. The Lugz act as little shovels and you can bury yourself in thin mud or loose sand. But if raining mud is your kind of weather these are the ones. Out of 10, two points were deducted for the volume of the tires (wich isn't bad since everyone on the highway knows where your at) and one point because these tires will ware a little more quickly. But if getting where you need to go is important to you... YEAHH this is the one.

I have done alot of research on different off road tires before i purchased my 33-13.50-15 ltb's. I can't see why more people that choose 33's dont run these. I own a 95 wrangler 4.0 with a 4in lift fully locked. Recently myself and four of my other wrangler buddies went out(all with diffenrent tires) to see how these stacked up. All of us own 1992-97 wranglers and we all agree that the ltb's bar none are the best tires overall offroad. All five of us are fully locked out, and for tires we had, super swamper tsl's, MTR's, procomp x'terrain's, thornbirds(these did the worst overall off road). We ran mud, rock and sand. The ltb's were much better than all four on rock, excellent in sand and just like the tsl's in mud, if not slightly better in clearing out the tread.
