2000 wrangler. I installed a set of 33 x 12.5 x 15 claw radials on for about 3 years, about 25000 miles...I gave them to my son for his 85 cj7, they are still on...i upgraded to the 35 x 12.5 x 15 claw radials and have had them on for approx. 30,000 miles now. They are great on the ice, snow rain , city, highway and every kind of 4 wheeling possible. In all different terrains, rocks, mud, trails, creeks, loose shale( coal strip mines). These claws have performed better than i had ever expected. Many power thru...my 4 cyl works for every yard.. And yes they do go 80 on the freeway to work. I only rotated when the front tires cupped out . 1 time. down to about 1/3 inch tread now...hope my next set lasts like these...wouldnt buy anything but mickey thompson.....Made in the USA...

I have 33s on my TJ Rubicon & bought them 4 rock crawling and they suck!! Way to soft! Popped a tires 3rd trip out on sidewall and its not repairable.. lugs cut easily and they also slick over n mud.. they were a waste of my money! I gave them 3 stars because they do look good..

Customer Rating Micky Thomson 315/75 x 16 Radials
Date: Jun 24, 2009
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (Illinois)
Ok like one reviewer, they sound like tires on bricks or cobblestones when you stop or start with them. But I don't even notice it anymore, since it is minimal. And same with any road noise, these tires, for their aggressive looks and size, have very little road noise, especially compared to something like swamper's.

I have 315/75 x 16 Radials, so that might make a difference also. I do agree that they cup a bit when they wear, and that they are hard to rotate (naturally).

Mine have over 30K miles and look to have 10K more possible on them, although they might get to the wear bars in places sooner. Just about all these miles were on the road, not too much off roading in corn country. On my last Jeep, a 87, I went to just plain street tires, because I didn't go off road much. But these are quiet & neat enough looking to rate another set of them.

I planned to get a new set this fall, but then heard that Mickey Thomson discontinued them, so I had to buy a new set before the distributors ran out of the size I needed. So anyone that wants another set had better hurry, I have my new set in the shed out back, ready for this coming winter.

I have 31X10.5's on a Jeep Wrangler which is taken off road regularly as well as driven on road. Unbeatable in the mud. I have found that they do well in sand unlike the top reviewers. Haven't had any problems on rocks either. They are wearing well, I have 12,000 miles on them now. The to produce a rumble at

Customer Rating Good tire for the $

I have had 35x12.5 R15 for couple of years now and are still holding up OK. For a person who wants that aggressive look- they are great tires. As for me I use my jeep offroad and as stated in other reviews they dig to china in sand- I wouldn't run these for sand, do very well in mud, and they do chunk off on sharp rock. I had Goodyear MTR's before and will most likely go back to MTR's, they just seemed to grip better in just about everything...just didn't look as good as the Claws

Customer Rating Look great

I have had my MT's for about six months now and I am very happy with them. I lifted my Wrangler and fitted 12.5 X 33's on Classic II's. First off; I knew there would be some road noise and sure enough there is but honestly I do not even notice it now; actually it is kind of cool and just adds to the aggressive look these tires give your Jeep. When pulling away or coming to a stop they actually rumble and vibrate the vehicle, which I don't mind but some may not like. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to take them off road but from what I have read they are one of the better off-road tires. I chose them because of the aggressive tread pattern and they really do look good; my wheels out-set them several inches outside the fenders and they give my Jeep a wide solid stance, which to me is how a Jeep should look. If you want your Jeep to look like it could crawl over anything in it's way, these are the tires to have.

Customer Rating Money can't buy love

I have had a set of 33" claws for about 2-1/2 years now. I have gotten about 25k miles out of them. MT Baja Claws look great, no doubt about it. My set ran great for about a year, but since then, I've had nothing but problems. They are not very easy to balance, wear terribly (cup badly) and take some money to rotate. Since they are a directional tread pattern you have to remount and rotate. Granted they are used mainly on the road and aren't the best choice for that condition, they are great in the mud though. They are also a poor choice in the sand, since they want to dig profusely and have a wide lug pattern. They may be what you're looking for in a tire, but not for use on the road primarily.

Customer Rating Great Tires

I love the look on these tires, it is almost imposible to hidroplane with them and they have a very good grip both on and off road.

The downside is that they are wearing fast with my detroit locker.

Customer Rating Decent all around tire

I ran 35" Claw radials for 3 years and thought they were a decent tire in all aspects. Nothing really stands out about them. I got good milage, they gripped well offroad and had tough sidewalls. They don't clean mud well and are prone to chunking on the rocks.

It is an awosome offroad tire. It cleans itself very well, but it wears down in about a year and some change. I ran 33's and they really do rattle the bolts. But all around a fun offroad tire.
