I've read all the below reviews and for those having trouble getting the pins out if you need a hammer to get them out you don't know how disconnects work learn what your doing before complaining, you must be on FLAT LEVEL ground to remove. Mine come right out by hand. never any issue except when I am off-road on a not level ground then they would be very hard to disconnect as I am not on Level ground. |

New Quick Sway Bar Links

I had to order some new Quick Disconnects because I found out my olds ones were broken, drivers side, I didn't now this and was driving for some time with that side busted, so I ordered a new Set, well the new ones must be longer because my suspension is allot stiffer on bumps, I did go under there and see if the mechanic installed them right, looks to like he did, I am noticing that the drivers side where the old one broke, the lower part of the sway bar connection is bent a little maybe this is why I couldn't get them off, like the others here I had use my brand new pry-bar for the first time, that worked. I'm really worried that the new ones are longer and it's going to make my jeep right to stiff, I'm planning on taking off the lower connection of the sway bar and take some vise gripes to see If I can bend that back, it's only bent a little. Hopefully it's going to solve my rough road manners on the Highway, hopefully other wise I'll be looking at another company. I do like my SkyJacker left kit, worked great up this point, I do have to say also my old quick disconnects the pins did pull off easily, this was me going over some brush the new Sway bars are positioned better, so hopefully I won't lose any more pins and I hope if I fix the stiffness.

I've had none of the problems listed above. You can't lose the pins if they're properly installed. I went mudding in some high quality Pennsylvania anthracite coal silt mud and everything was covered. I wiped off the ends, pushed the mud out with the pins and reinstalled them no problem. I like them and would get them again if the need arose.

I really dislike this kit, I have been very unhappy, some of the pins came out while driving, the holes dont line up very well, and they do not allow for aesy removale and replacement. Do not use this kit, unless absolutley necissary, and even then plan on upgrading to another kit, anything is better, and the kits are generally cheap so it is worth the upgrade.

Skyjacker is good | |

Skyjacker is good you just need to understand how your swaybar works. They are easy to use, you do need to be on very flat land, so the front tires are at the same flex so you can line up the sway bar, 4 years 35,000 miles no lost peices and no lost pins, I haven't even used a hammer or any other tool but my hands. There are better ones out there.

ok, the pins flat out suck, i needed to use a hammer to get them in and out. they are not good quality, one of the pins did not line up, so i had to drill the hole. when i did have the pins in, i never wanted to take them out because they were so hard to deal with. also, i ended up having one of them fall out when i was driving and i lost the center peice. i bought the ones from jks and they are much better. |

Three major problems with them. First, the pins are very difficult to remove. I have you use a combination of banging with a hammer and yanking with pliers. Secondly, the pins are very difficult to put back in. Again, the hammer and a large pry bar are needed. Those two aren't that bad because I don't remove them that often. Here's the big problem: About every 100 miles of street driving, I need to check them because the pins wiggle there way out. Almost lost two upper pins but pounded them back in with my trusty hammer just in time. I would not reccomend these. Whenever I get around to it, I will definitely be switching to another brand...maybe the JKS ones.

Very Basic | |

The SJ discos are very basic in design and function. The pins are a pain to get back in the holes after your done wheeling and even worst if you've been in the mud. They do serve their purpose though. Once piece of advise is to keep some oil or grease around to help get the pins back in.
