Got this skid from HCP 4x4. Bolted right up with NO problems, if you cant get it to fit, you're lining up the wrong holes. I LOVE that it has a piece welded in to support it on the frame instead of a weak side plate of the box. Definately well thought out design! | |

Worked great for my TJ. The only part that took more than 2 minutes to install was the hole you drill into the bumper. Banged it on a few rocks, the sterring box is still workin great! |

Cannot get it to fit :-( | |

I have a 2001 TJ. I just picked up this skidplate thinking that it would be an easy install. Here is the issue: It will not fit. On my Jeep I can get 1 bolt in. I can do the one that attaches to the bumper. I can do the one that bolts to the steering gear. I cannot do both. If I connect to the bumper then the bolt to the steering gear is 3/8" off. I'll be taking back to where I bought it to see what my options are. I do not recommend anyone to waste their time and money on this. |
