Only sees occasional use, but it never let's me down. This is the perfect capacity for a Wrangler!

Customer Rating Warn is the best

This winch is the best for wranglers because you will never need more than 8000 pounds of power anyways. The built in solinoid is really the key to this winch being so great. I recently hit a tree with my jeep and it bent up the winch plate. pushing the winch into the grill. I took it off and the solinoid was a little off, but it started up immediatly. I have got this winch covered in mud and under water and never had a problem. (sometimes the gears dont match up perfectly when engaging). I would recommend a amsteel rope.

Customer Rating Still Pulling

I understand this winch is no longer in production. That's a shame...It is a great winch. I've been pulling myself and others out for years and it still looks and works greater than great. Its been hanging on the front of my Rubicon for 3 years now. A good friend bought one after he returned from Iraq and he says its better than the ones they used over there. My Warn works great from the swamps of Louisiana to the tundra of Alaska's Arctic Circle. If you can find one you can't go wrong.

Customer Rating Third owner and it still pulls strong

I'm the third owner of this winch, I have only used it once but was impressed with its pulling power. I was able to free an extended cab full size Chevy that got high centered on some rocks. The winch was only used for a few seconds but it tugged the large truck with no problems. I didn't even need a snatch block, the 8000lb is more then adequate for the weekend Jeep wheeler. I have had the winch for close to a year, but have not until recently had an opportunity to use it. As the use of the winch increases I will be sure to report back with further reviews. As of right now being the third owner of this Warn winch I'm very impressed, highly recommended.

I got my Warn x8000i 10years ago. It works like a charm. I had to rebuild the motor due to some water crossings that got a little deep, but it still works like new. A winch is one of the most important items you can buy for off-roading...you want to make sure you get a good one...THIS IS IT. You get what you pay for with Warn.
