I won mine in a raffel 4 years ago and it has never let me down, 1 steel, and 2 synthetic cables later it still pulls like new. I used my 00 tj to pull out a 70's powerwagon, that was buried to the frame. I used the snatch block, tied myself to a tree so I wouldnt just pull myself to him, but I got him rite out, it pulled so hard it bent my winch plate!

Don't waste your money on a Smittybilt, T-Max, Atlas...they may all have planetary gears, but they're not the same as a Warn...Mine has been used to pull a bunch of stuck Jeeps out of thick mud holes (the kind that if you walk in it, you'd lose your shoes LOL) I used it non stop for about an hour and a half, with very short stops in between...got everyone out, then deliborately got myself stuck...pulled me like I was weightless! SPEND THE MONEY ON A GOOD PRODUCT AND IT WON'T LET YOU DOWN...don't be a cheap-0!

I've had this winch on my bumper since the end of February, and I used it about 10 times to get unstuck one day. As someone else here said, it pulls like a mule. It pulled me up some steep grades and never complained once. Well worth the price.

I got this winch and only recently had to use it to its fullest potential. It works great for the short pulls I have used it for, everything works the way it should and it is fairly quick. (Much faster than all the other brands of winches I have seen) This last weekend, I used it to pull out sevral rigs that were very stuck as well as a full pull for myself. It never quit, just kept on chugging as long as I had my thumb on the button. In one situation, I had my heep braced against a log and was doubled up on a VERY HARD pull freeing another stuck full size truck. The winch pulled my Jeep over the log like it wasn't even there. The reason for 9 stars is the cable, I am planning on upgrading from the 5/16" cable it comes with. |
