During a recent offroading trip to Baja in Mexico the Nth Slider saved my DS/U-Joint/Yoke on a few different occasions. In one rock Garden I was able to find a rather large rock that had the slider not been present would have surely mangled my driveshaft and other vital compenents on my Jeep. The Slider has several battle scars on it, but it took all of the bashing in stride. An absolutly fantastic design that saved me $ and grief on the trail.

Very very very easy to install front and rear only took about 1.5 hrs (3 beers). Was tough holding the thing up while slipping the u-bolts in on the rear, but got the hang of it. Have not tested them out yet, but they look like they can take an ass whooping.

Good idea for a skid | |

I have ran this skid for seveal months and can't believe nobody else came up with this idea. I feel a lot safer knowing the slider is mounted. Install was very easy. I have taken it off and put it on a few times and it only takes about 10-15 minutes to accomplish this. The finish is fantastic, not that real wheelers really care, it is a skid plate after all, haha. I did have an issue with the DS occasionally slightly rubbing the edge of the skid. I remedied this by taking the die grinder with a cut wheel and hacking away a bit more clearance at the front of the skid. I'm not sure if this an isolated case as I never called because I took care of it. But as most Jeepers know every Jeep is different so perhaps mine was just a fluke Jeep.
