Rubicon Express Monotube Shocks have been a great purchase thus far...both on and off-road. They came with a RE 2" Budget Boost Kit for a JK Wangler Sport - 4 Door. The shocks give a ride that is, as good as, OR BETTER than the original shocks. Make sure to get the MONOTUBE Shocks as RE makes a cheaper shock that often gets poor reviews. You will pay a little more for the monotube, but it is worth it!!! I have been using them for about 8 months and have not had any concerns. Great product. I wonder if some of the poorer rated postings here were from the shocks that were not actually the RE MONOTUBE shocks. |

I got these shocks with a Rubicon Express 2" budget lift for my 1998 TJ. After 50 miles or so my back hurt from the stiff ride. I still have the spring spacers in the jeep but removed the RE shocks and reinstalled the stock shocks. Just buy the spacers and save your money for other shocks.

Not Very Durable | |

I've blown two rears on the passenger side and one rear on the driver side in the rocks. And these have not been impact damage. They are simply losing their seals and blowing the fluid out the bottom. And yes, I do have the right length for my lift height. I'm probably going to switch to Bilstien |

Got these with my REBB...they ride very well on-road. They are as good, if not a little bit softer that the stock shocks. Very sturdy construction, easy installation. Good off-road, plenty of extension. What more is there to say? Really nice shocks!!
