This is a very heavy duty piece. It is very well built and has nice powdercoat. (though it wont stay pretty for long) Instalation was very straight forward. It only took a couple of hours, by myself, and only a few tools. I already had a 1.25" bodylift and 1" motor mount lift. Nothing hits, rubs, or vibrates. Excellent value!!

Jeep Medic Skids | |

I installed the transfer skid and engine skid at the same time along with a 1 inch BL ,mml, and a gas tank skid on a 05 TJ unlimited Rubi. You will have to adjust the exhaust just a bit most muffler shops can do it cheap. The skids packaging is great and there powder coated took 4 days to arrive. These skids are indestructible at 1/4 inch thick with a slight bend to accommodate the transfer case and compressor. There is a slight bend 1/2 and inch fab'ed into the plate to keep you from having drive line issues. I've had the whole thing installed for 2 yrs without a single rub or drive line issue. Oh yeah get the lwr control arm skids the same muffler shop will usually slap them for a couple of bucks. All in all very pleased, after talking with lots of skid manufactures most required costly drive line modifications. I just wanted strong protection that was simple and easy to install. |

I just installed the Jeep Medic Skid on my 06 Rubicon along with a BL and MML. My skid was shipped in a double layer heavy card board box and was black powder coated. The over all quality of the skid is high. The skid mounted up easily and fits great. I did not have any exhaust clearance issues with the passenger side UCA or any where else. I also did not have any tub/transfer case clearance issues which some T-case skids create. Results could vary as every Jeep is different. I also plan on getting the Medic engine skid in the future which will bolt right up to the Medic T-case Skid. I could not be any happier with my purchase.

I installed this tcase skid on my 04 Rubi a month ago and so far, I scrapped it on rocks and no damage. Since it is black spray painted, you can just touch it up with a rattle can. The shipping package is made of all wood and the total weight with the box is like 100lbs. I recommend that you install a body lift so there is not chance of anything rubbing. Also, on my rubi, i have to lift the center console up with 3 washers so the shifter does not hit anything. But remember, every jeep is different. Beside that, I LOVE this. |
