Customer Rating Warning: Fraud Alert

Fraudulent business practices. Didn't ship what they advertised and sold, after 40 days of taking money cancelled order. Accused buyer of "taking advantage" and "scamming" them. Outrageous!
I'm without money and item, wasted a lot of time and I scammed them according to E*** at Northridge 4x4. This is a company that bombards your inbox with advertisements. What good are they if they don't honor what they're advertising and renege on business transactions? Keep good documentation if you do bushiness with these frauds!

Customer Rating Buyer Beware Northridge 4X4 Return Policies
Date: Jun 21, 2020
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (Connecticut )
Beware of Northridge's returns policies!

We bought a bracket, with the part number from the manufacturer, having the work done at a Jeep dealership, and we got a part that doesn't fit our BRAND axle. Northridge Customer Service seemed to know this after-the-fact, but it doesn't have any disclaimers on that item description about the part not fitting one brand that it is incompatible with it.

The dealership said they couldn't install the part, it didn't fit. We tried to return it to Northridge. You have to get an RGA -- the woman transfers you to a Parts salesman who tries to sell you another part. This is the guy who already knew the bracket didn't go with our brand axle. But, they didn't see fit to include that in the description.

So you go through the process to get the Authorization to return the part, and they explain to you why it's better to pay them for the shipping fees to return the part. AND you have to pay a 30% Restocking Fee (!) PLUS you're paying to return ship the part to the opposite coast from where the part originated! They expected us to pay to ship a heavy steel part across the country from the east coast to the west coast. When they included shipping in the original price of the part, they were shipping it from Kentucky to Connecticut. To return it, we have to ship the part from Connecticut to Washington state, considerably more expensive. We're responsible for more expensive shipping plus their 30% restocking fee, but it turns out that's not all:

Then they inform us we have to pay retroactively for the original shipping of the part which had been a promotion when we purchased it. They gave us free shipping on the original purchase, which made them competitive at the time of purchase, but now they wanted to go back and charge their cost to ship the part to us when we originally purchased it.

So, when Northridge says FREE SHIPPING OVER $70, they don't mean it will be free shipping if you need to return the part.

We were not aware when we purchased from them that there would be little left to refund if the part didn't work. Of course, they force you to input you make/model/year during the check out process, so if you have other custom parts on your vehicle, it could affect whether the exact part number you searched actually goes in your basket. Good luck trying to get back a reasonable portion of what you spent.

Never again. Not buying from them ever again -- poor Customer Service, and oppressive/unfair returns policy. Our installation was being done at a dealership with a part number from a manufacturer. Long wait to get the part, btw. Awful business practices and poorly handled, Northridge.

Customer Rating Worst customer service ever

Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (Bremerton Washington)
Took my jeep in to have the shifter linkage adjusted after installing a 2WD low range kit. They charged me 400.00 and then would not let me speak to the mechanic that did the work to find out what he actually did. The invoice said 4hrs labor with no other explaination. I came back later and spoke to Max and he said the mechanic already went home, but it shoould be fine and if not bring it back

Customer Rating Doesnt take responsibility for poor description on parts
Date: Jun 06, 2018
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (Houston )
Thought I ordered a linked bumper and tire carrier based on the website. Received part and new immediately it was wrong upon opening instructions. The manufacturer (LOD) labele specifically said non-linked. I emailed and provided multiple screen shots of website images that wrong and not clearly labeled. I end up dealing with some guy name Eric. He is a real jerk and treats the customer with no respect. He called and basically laughed at me on the phone and told me I should have used their chat feature. Really dude...how about properly labeling your site. I send the part back and was just going to deal with the changes ($300 exchange or $400 for return only) for shipping that he would not work with me on. Which I thought they shouldnt have charges me for since the descriptions were terrible and images didnt match what they sent. They get the bumper and carrier back and ask me if I want to reorder the linked bumper. Out of curiosity, I check their site again. Guess what?? they changed the image and description of the linked bumper to say linked. I email them and point it out and get the jerk Eric again. He stills puts all the fault on me. Yet updates he site. I explained how that only validated my point of how we were lead to believing we ordered the bumper we wanted.I told him he had a chance to do the right thing and provide a great experience. But instead, he belittles his customer and then updates the site. I would advise against giving these guys any business. He has no integrity or class. There are plenty of other standup distributors who will offer up superior service.

Customer Rating atx beadlocks
Date: Mar 18, 2018
Reviewer: A JeepReviews.com User from (CT)
Ordered a set of atx beadlocks from these jack a$$*$! Fist off, when I ordered this product I mentioned what tire I was running and was never informed of any difficulty I might face when mounting due to bead thickness. I also was not informed that there is no possible way to return product if not satisfied, which is complete bull shit! When mounted on my 37 irok super swampers all torqued down, I still had over a 3/8 gap between ring and rim. I called Northridge 4x and got 4 different answers, one of these answers was that this gap is normal. How f-ing dangerous is that! According to "David" you will get a different answer from each person. How does this make sense when its one product, there should be one CORRECT answer!? He also had mentioned that "if the rims were in his shop he would wrack them down until the metal is touching (regardless how tight it might be) and then torque". Hmm, seems safe to me! I explained that didn't seem right due to the fact you could rip out the inserts. I then asked to send shipping labels for a refund and I will go with another rim. David informed me there is no possibility of returning this product. Again, never informed me of this at time of purchase! I mentioned I tried calling numerous other companies who also deal with these rims to see what they're answers would be. It seems although any company name I had brought up there was a snood comment, such as "the old lady who works out of her house" at Spyderlock. Throughout the years of business I have done with this company I will never buy another product here again, good luck David with your journey and future of continued poor customer service!

These guys are the greatest! I ordered an ARB awning, and noticed the following day that I ordered the wrong size. I called and they changed my order. When I asked about how to pay for the difference in price, they told me not to worry, they would take care of it. (Granted it was only about 10 bucks, but hey, that's GREAT SERVICE! Received the order on-time. Nothing but great things to say about this company!

I have been dealing with David and the guys at Northridge4X4 for 9 years and have never had a problem. Friendly and helpful. I just bought a 2012 Sahara unlimited and soon will have a mild lift and 35 BFGs all from Northidge, Eric and Sean busted their buts to get me what I wanted on the budget that I had. I have dealt with the other online and local off road shops but have not found any that compare to these guys. If you want a kick ass Jeep rather you have a big budget or not this is the place to go. I wont let anyone wrench on my rig except Northridge or myself

Waiting 2 months for product (gears). Needed them as I did an axle swap in the rear of my yj. Only have 2wheel drive right now. Oh well winters almost over. Guess I don't need them. To bad, I heard great things about northridge. Heard same thing from lots of the guys on my local forum. This apparently is not a one time thing.

I ordered an OME Lift, track bars, control arms and bumpers from this crew. Everything shipped the same day and arrived right on time. David was patient with my questions and concise with his answers.

Northridge is a refreshing reminder of what doing business used to be like in America before Corporations rotted our souls.

I was trying to find an Aussie locker for the Chrysler 8.25 and had searched many sites trying to find one. After many issues with backorders/delays with other sites I placed my order at Northridge. Very fast replies for customer service. Understandably, I was told there was a one month wait time for this item. A week later Aussie sent me an email saying they had a limited supply of these lockers in stock. I called up Northridge customer service and told them. David set my shipment up and sent me a tracking number within an hour. Best prices I've seen on a lot of stuff. Excellent customer service.

I have ordered several parts from them for my Jeep TJ. They have always beat other advertised prices for parts, ORO LED Lite DOTS and Currie HD Steering. They were easy to talk to and shipping was extremely fast. I will continue to order parts from them. You cannot beat the free shipping as well. Thanks again.

I purchased a 1" mml, 1" bl, and a AA shifter relocation bracket from Northridge4x4 last night, and received a phone call today saying the mml I choose would drive me crazy with vibrations through the steering wheel. So they offered to change my order and save me 30 bucks on the final cost. Not to mention they shipped the order after the call. I also emailed Northridge4x4 several times today and they responded within two minutes. Really helpful staff, really good prices, and amazing service. 5 stars hands down.

I have purchased a number of items from Northridge 4x4; a winch, winch plate, rollcage, sway-bar disconnects, lights and some other misc. parts, all have been of the best quality at the best price and have arrived promptly in only a few days after ordering. I also emailed them with a question and got an in depth, helpful, and straight forward response in less than 24 hours. I would highly recommend Northridge 4x4 to anyone looking for Jeep parts at a great deal and superb customer service. The best overall Jeep resource online.

The prices N4x4 has are typically among the most competitive. There response time is great as well as their customer support. David prompltly returns calls. He took the time to ask how I liked the product, he didn't make it seem like talking to a customer was a burdon. Great service, will buy again from N4x4.

I'm fortunate to have Northridge 4x4 be a 10 min drive from my house. Dave has always been there to get the parts I need and at a great price. Dave knows Jeeps because he builds them and wheels them. It's definitely worth calling him up or visiting the site.

Ive spoken with Dave at Northridge many times. Ive even called for advice on products. Advice was given and I told him I would be back. No pressure and they always deliver exactly what they promise.

If you do not purchase from them you owe it to yourself to at least call for a price.

Above and beyond the great service you will receive at Northridge4x4, David is an avid Jeeper and mechanic who knows his stuff. I now buy all my Jeep parts and accessories from him because I know that I will always get the best price available. Shop around, find what you think is the lowest price and then give him a call.
